Sample Preparation: Sample preparation is the first step of a stomacher blender which involve placing of biological or food sample inside a sterile plastic bag or pouch. The bag may contain a diluent or buffer solution, depending on the type of sample and the purpose of the blending.
Bag Insertion: Second step involves insertion of sample-filled bag into the stomacher blender machine.
Stomaching Process: This is to ensure that The lid is closed securely, and the blending or stomaching cycle is initiated. The laboratory stomacher blender contains two paddles or plates known as stomacher paddles that are designed to strike or impact the sample-filled bag in an alternating motion.
Agitation and Pressure: The stomacher paddles rapidly move back and forth, applying pressure to the sample within the bag. The impact and squeezing action of the paddles help break down the sample, releasing cells, microorganisms, or other constituents into the surrounding liquid.

Sample Extraction: After the blending cycle is complete, the bag is removed from the stomacher blender by switching off the machine and opening the lid.
